One of my favourite television series.
I loved the gentleman face he put on when eating bread with insects.

I had totally ignored the name of the actor above in his part in “Hornblower”, but deeply admired his portrayal of the dilemma of a man in command who has to be impartial and yet wishes to encourage a younger man in his career in the navy!
Then I found the episode in “The Good Life” where RL makes an appearance and the connection was made between him there, Wolfie Smith and the well-reasoned Captain Pellew!
It just goes to show that RL is a fine actor.
