Hi Rob, Great book! My son brought it for me at Christmas. He says there are too many similarities between our family and My Family. Loved the Gladstone memoirs especially. It was great to see those names on the program of What The Dickens and the photo of you and the King Rat (wish I could put a name to the face) in the Pied Piper. It was probably me who painted that awful tree at the back of you pair. I never made the cast but guess what. I ended up being a display artist and exhibition designer.
Best wishes, one day at a time.
Alan.

Hello, its a little late but i would like send my sympathy to Robert and all his family on the loss of his father Norman.I drove Norman a few times to hospital with his sister a couple of years ago,and also his mother in law back to yorshire, i have some nice memories of the chats we had along the way in the car,and i remember norman saying he liked Robert to be called Robert not bob, i realised after these chats Robert is just a normal guy behind the actor and loves his family, i hope time helps you all to feel a little better and able to remember all your past family with a smile and not pain. regards robert eley.

Hi Robert,
Sorry to hear about Norman, I remember him well from when he used to visit Gladstone all those years ago. Had many a hour chatting with him and Joyce in the ‘Shoes’. Take care. Alan

Just wanted to thank you for making my day! I was at the book signing at manchester and was thrilled to meet you, after being brought up on citizen smith as a child it was an honour to meet the man himself, and i’m glad you appreciated the ‘freedom for tooting’ t-shirt ;0)
Thanks again. Loving the book btw.
